Trans Fat Update
Many diners are looking for healthier choices on the menu, including items made without added trans fat. At the same time, they expect quality and good taste. At Sara Lee® Foodservice we are continually working on ways to enhance the nutritional profiles of our products. We currently have several product categories, including traditional and open-faced pies, most muffins, bagels, cornbread and quiches, that do not contain trans fat. Our roast and ground coffee, liquid coffee and tea products do not contain trans fat. Through 2007 and 2008, we will be introducing a wide range of additional products that have been reformulated to reduce or eliminate added trans fat.
